Hearing God's Call: Living God's Hope
Come consider God's call upon your life and hear stories from others of their call to lay ministry. How will you live out your baptismal promises? How can the church help you listen for God and follow God's call? As leaders, how can we help the church encourage and equip for ministry in all orders? Through dramatic presentation, exploration of tradition and sharing of personal experience in small groups, participants will be inspired to continue their discernment and support others. Kate Gillooly serves as Director of Congregational Development for Heights Christian Church on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. She has a passion for lay ministry; her doctoral thesis includes stories of call to lay ministry shared through a dramatic sermon. She directs the Deacon Formation program and the Lay Preaching College for the Diocese of Ohio and is a trainer for Education for Ministry.
