The Parable Method: Nonviolent in Method and Content
When we turn our attention to Gospel nonviolence, we have in the parables both nonviolent content and a method to guide us. Our work with children demands that we be attentive and true to both. This reflection builds on Gianna Gobbi and Sofia Cavalletti's work of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, exploring its key parables as well as the parable method. Cavalletti's directive that "the method should match the content" helps guide our commitment to nonviolent work with children in Christian formation.
